We decided for March during the kid's Spring break we would do something fun.  We chose to go to Tombstone, AZ.  Derek and the kids drove down to Tucson and picked me up.  We stayed in Sierra Vista for 2 nights.  Tombstone sure is a whole different world.  Wyatt got to meet Wyatt Earp, the kids played on the playground, we took an old fashioned photo, saw the OK Corral show, and rode on a horse drawn coach.  It was a blast and so nice to take a family vacation.

Where I spend the next 20 weeks of my life.

The month of February brought a big change in our life. I started full time clinicals and was assigned to University of Arizona Medical Center in Tucson, AZ.  This meant I would have to travel during most of the week and not be home with the family.  I knew it would give me amazing experience for the future with it being a teaching hospital and the only Level 1 Trauma Hospital in southern AZ.  (This is the highest level of truama).  But I also knew it was going to be a big sacrifice for all of us.  Most weeks I would leave Sunday night and come home on Wednesday or Thursday night.  It ended up working out and in the end I don't think I would have changed it.  The other fun thing that we had was Tanis competed in Regional's at MESA (this stands for Math, Engineering, Science, Achievement).  His group built a rocket from a 2 liter soda bottle.  They had to protect 2 astronauts which were eggs and launch it to see how far it would go and if any of the eggs broke or cracked.  It also could only weigh so much.  It was fun to see him compete.

I ventured and had a friend party for Wyatt this year.  He had so much fun we did a Mario theme and had hat/crowns to decorate, a star pinata, pin the mustache on Mario, and star cupcakes.  It went really well.  Then he got a family party too.  My sister Chrissy made his cake and he got lots of fun gifts from us all.  Can't believe your 5 my buddy. Love you lots.

December 2011

Another jam packed month. We started with trying to attempt some family pictures. Before we had the official ones later in the month. Then Ashley, Mom, Kelsie and I got to go to the Nutcracker. My mom's work puts on a reception before it and it was fabulous. We loved it and it was the first time I had even seen it. Then my mother in law cam for the week before Christmas to help out. The kids had a blast with her. My father in law flew in on Christmas Eve so we went to the Christmas lights/nativity at the temple and met some dear friends of ours from Washington that snowbird down here in the winter. The big day was Sunday with it being Christmas and we also blessed Draelen. What a beautiful day. All of my siblings were in town and all of them came to church. It was very special for me. We opened lots of gifts and ate lots of yummy food. Then the next day we did the Hosford side family pictures. (Didn't post any cause they are on a disc at my mom's) it was also my mom's birthday so my brother in law Hiram and sister Aly made a delicious Mexican lunch/dinner. It was so nice to have everyone here and have our own place to escape to when we needed to.
