I can't believe a year has already passed. You have grown so much. I remember how tiny you were when they put you on me. I love you so much and so excited for the years to come with you and watch you grow.

Easter and 10 months old

Elora is now pulling herself to standing and walking along the furniture. She skipped the whole crawling stage and I am so not ready for her to be mobile.

She is really a good girl happy, and has the most awesome laugh. She cries only when she falls from trying to stand and walk or when she is hungry. Although she does have a personality and we do call her drama but what can you expect from a Peterson/Hosford girl.

Wyatt loved Easter eggs again this year and his favorite color or maybe it's just the only color he knows so far is yellow so the Easter Bunny left him all yellow eggs.

So when we gave Elora her basket she grabbed the chocolate bunny and started trying to eat the box to get to it. Man she is already a woman who loves her chocolate and she hasn't even tasted it yet.

Ashley surprised me this year. The night before they got their baskets she informed my sister Kelsie that the Easter bunny always leaves them a book. I was like oh crap well guess she's not getting one this year. I just couldn't believe that she remembered that. So then when she came into to our room at 6:30 am after seeing her baskets she told Derek, "Dad I saw my basket and I got Barbie Mermaid movie and I am not excited anymore about my basket." I wanted to cry I was so sad. I asked her later if she wanted me to send it back to the Easter bunny so she could get something different but she said no and she has watched the movie over and over so I think she actually really does like it.

Tanis on the other hand begged for the Chipmunk Squeakquel. He was so excited to get that movie.

I had to add this picture of Wyatt it is just so him. Needless to say we had fun dying our eggs that got hid at Nana and Papa's house.

This year before we did all the commercial/secular stuff I wanted to take my kids to the Easter Pageant at the Mesa Temple. It is our first year here to be able to see it and it was fabulous. This is the last scene of the Savior after he is resurrected. It reminded me a lot of going to the Hill Cumorah Pageant as a kid. This one though was about the Savior's life from his birth through his resurrection. We were in the very last row so it was hard to see but the spirit was there and I know the oldest 2 kids enjoyed it. Next year we will have to try to get there earlier so we can be closer so they can see more.

I want to run away

So is it bad of me as I sit down in the office and listen to all the bickering of my kids to feel like running and never coming back. Lately I feel so alone in this fight as a mother. I feel like a failure a lot of the time. They never seem to listen to anyone except their dad and that's only if it gets to the point of him screaming which many of you know doesn't take very long. I feel so much pressure to be a mom, help find Derek a job, keep my house up, take care of all the bills, help my sister plan her wedding (which most of the time this is the one fun thing I have), loss weight, and be a trophy wife which will never happen. I don't understand why I struggle all the time with all of this but I do. When I was in Pullman I was able to at least escape a few times a month to enjoy my girlfriends while scrap booking. I really think this helped keep my sanity through all the hard times there. Now though I don't have that and I truly miss it. This has been really difficult for me to be in AZ and I didn't think it would be since most of my family is here. I want so badly to feel like things in my life are on the right track all the time. Someday I know I will look back and realize how fun this time in my life was but right now I am really not enjoying it. Guess that's enough ranting for today hopefully tomorrow will be better.

Job Search

So yet again we are on the job hunt. We knew this would be happening at some point this year as Derek's position was for this year only. We just thought we had more time like till around the end of August to have a new job in place. I had already started to see what was available out there luckily so I have been able to get resumes sent right away. I just don't understand the why and may never know. I just wish that this man could actually keep a job for more than a few months. And when the reasons of why are never told to you how do you change and become better. We really are at a lose at this point and feel so overwhelmed with all that this entails to find a job and keep the household going. Sometimes I think haven't I learned what I was supposed to the last time we lost a job and had to go through this but I guess not because it just keeps happening. I pray that this journey is a short one and we find him a good job that he can succeed at and love.

So I thought I would finally update our blog with a photo from each month and highlight some of the things we have done in the last 4 and 1/2 months. we moved into our on place in October and had Halloween Tanis decided that he is to old this year to be part of the themed costumes so he was a vampire. Ashley was Cinderella and Wyatt and Elora were mice from Cinderella. We then had Thanksgiving at my folks house and were surprised for the week with a visit from my sister Aly and her best friend Lauren. We had lots of fun. then December was a busy month we took a trip for my sister's birthday to Sedona. It was beautiful and I thought perfect time for a family photo shoot. Then we all drove to my brother Dan's house in CA for Christmas. All of us made it and it was the first time in 4 years that we had all been together. It was a typical Hosford Christmas for those of you that really know us. We then had a family photo shoot there because who knows when we will all be together again. Then January came and Wyatt got to start Preschool he loves it. He goes in the morning and just in 1 month his speech has made leaps and bounds. He then had a birthday at the end of the month and I can't believe he is 3 already boy time really flies. Lastly Elora turned 8 months yesterday and she really needs to stop growing. I don't want my baby to grow up. She is so sweet and already has so much personality. She hates to be on her stomach so I think she may never crawl. But we keep trying. Now that I have internet hopefully I will be better at updating this for all of you that I miss so very much.
